About Numberphile

Numberphile is produced by video journalist Brady Haran.

The stars of the show include mathematicians and other guests from around the world (see a list here).

Topics range from the sublime to the ridiculous… from historic discoveries to recent breakthroughs.

In addition to hundreds of videos, we also have a podcast featuring longer-form interviews.

The project is supported by research-based trading company Jane Street. They have offices around the world and provide amazing career opportunities for the sort of curious and clever people who watch Numberphile.

In the past we have been supported by the Simons Laufer Mathematical Sciences Institute (formerly MSRI) and The Simons Foundation.

And of course our most important “supporters” are the viewers and generous patrons.

In addition to our main YouTube channel, extra footage is uploaded to a second channel called Numberphile2.

Most of our animations are created by Pete McPartlan and music is composed by Alan Stewart.

Many of our captions were edited by Caitlin Oddy. We’re grateful to Jeff Rappaport who often helps us with accommodation in Berkeley.

Podcast transcripts can be found here.
